Hanging Garden: Starlight Serenade, acrylic on OHfilm & collage, 163x111cm, 2026

Since 2010, artist Hye-won Pak has continuously developed her series Hanging Garden, exploring the transparent material properties of OH film (overhead projector film). In this solo exhibition, the circular motifs that originated in her early ceiling murals expand into the entire gallery space, transforming into evocative imagery of starlight.

The exhibition’s centerpiece, Hanging Garden: Starlight Serenade (163x111cm), unfolds a microcosm where starlight—imbued with cosmic eternity and vital energy—lingers throughout the space, evoking a synesthetic resonance as if a distant song echoes from within. Reflecting deeply on personal experience and meditation, Pak orchestrates this reflective journey across the entire exhibition space. The show features 15 new works from 2026, spanning installation and painting.
